It all began with a cup of tea.

The founders of Big Saloons on Tour – Ralf and Peter

Remscheid, 2010. Two enthusiasts of classic Jaguar saloons are enjoying a traditional English afternoon tea.

They share a passion for the magnificent Jaguar saloons of the post-war era: the Mark VII, Mark VIII and Mark IX.

These motor cars once represented the very best of British elegance, comfort and engineering sophistication. Today, however, they often stand in the shadow of their sportier siblings.

So why not create a gathering dedicated exclusively to these remarkable motor cars?

2011 – The Beginning of a Tradition

From this idea, Big Saloons on Tour was born.

Since the first gathering in 2011, owners and friends of the great Jaguar saloons have regularly come together.

Our events take us through different regions of Europe, combining scenic drives with cultural experiences, excellent food and the pleasure of good company.

More Than a Classic Car Gathering

Big Saloons on Tour has always been about more than simply bringing classic cars together.

A shared enthusiasm for these motor cars brings together people of different nationalities and backgrounds. Over the years, many lasting friendships have developed.

British traditions are just as much a part of our gatherings as discovering new landscapes and exploring the fascinating regions of Europe.

Big Saloons on Tour – a community keeping motoring history alive.
